Question was emailed to the NYS Podiatry board : Am I correct that AMA approved credits in the medical and surgical treatment of foot conditions are acceptable for license renewal? This involves courses on diabetes and foot conditions etc...
I received a response to my inquiry and a copy was sent to the board and myself that said the board has dealt with this issue in the past and considers course content within AMA, AOA, or ACCME certified programs to be valid CECH for DPM attendees as long as the content is related to lower extremity medicine and surgery.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your local state podiatry board to consider if the attached links
